Over the last year we unearthed our mission to elevate the Skylab brand, telling our truest story. We've spent time honing in on what's important and cutting out everything that isn't. Doing so heightened our identity, giving us context to our relentless pursuit of regenerative opportunities, and better showcasing our multi-faceted design approach. As a result, we shortened our name to Skylab because it describes our vision for the future in 2 syllables. The outcome is bold yet simple, contemporary yet timeless. It embodies our pursuit of quality and respect for form.
The launch of this new site is focused on an immersive journey through dramatic moments and engaging tagging features. We hope that the balance of these interesting ideas (abstract and literal, evident and hidden) will leave lasting impressions.
The YARD project began with a design team that has been collaborating for many years on a focused exploration of the relationship between building and landscape. The site posed an intriguing possibility of blurring lines between disciplines and eroding ordinary distinctions between building and context, inside and outside.
