Business Manager

The Business Manager leads business operations and financial oversight for all aspects of the company. The Business Manager inspires the studio to achieve new levels of success by risk management, financial controlling,  precise accounting, and forecasting.


•Management: Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure profitability that produces results consistent with the overall strategy and mission. Maintain accounting in an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. 

•Planning:  Formulate and develop the company's future direction supporting tactical initiatives. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.

•Compliance: Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit. Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

•Transactions:  Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner. Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly. Process payroll in a timely manner. Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed. Maintain the chart of accounts. Ensure an orderly accounting filing system. Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

•Reporting: Issue timely and complete financial statements. Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics and report significant issues to management. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations



•Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
•An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
•Experience in the A&E industry or creative business a plus.
•Strong understanding of performance management principles
•Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
•In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
•Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication and public speaking skills
•BA/MA in business administration or relevant field. MBA strongly preferred
