Pine + Minor

The 1519 Minor project is a collaboration between Skylab and Perkins + Will in Seattle. Located in Seattle, WA, this mixed-use primary residential building consists of retail space and 120 studio units. Each studio unit is planned to be highly efficient and cost effective to cater to young professionals living in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Additionally the immediate community can partake in events or gatherings at central hubs located on site, including the community room and roof deck. This project lends a high level of efficiency in its conception that in turn presents an innovative experience within the neighborhood. The materiality of the common spaces is borrowed from the landscape of the nearby Olympic Mountain range and the history and culture of Seattle, tying the new building to its historic surroundings.

Program: 111 residential units | 70 parking spaces | 1000 ft2 of ground floor retail | Unit mix includes studio, studio +, and one bedroom.
